Emma Raducanu has unveiled her new-found love of Mahjong having recently picked up the tile-based game during a trip to China. 

The 20-year-old tennis star is currently recovering from undergoing surgery on both her wrists and ankle. 

Currently situated at 194 in the WTA rankings, Raducanu has not played since April, where she was knocked out in the first round by Jelena Ostapenko at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart. 

The 2021 US Open women’s singles champion underwent surgery in May, posting photos of herself sporting casts on both her arms and ankle on social media. 

Since then she has been taking steps to recover and was last month seen for the first time since her operation back playing tennis during a training session

While working on her comeback, the British tennis player has also been travelling and recently visited her mother’s home country, China, slot deposit dana (cip4d.shop) to see her family. 

She visited Shenyang, where she opened up on how she had been playing her new-found hobby, Mahjong, with her grandmother.  

‘I recently learned Mahjong and feel most at home and my true self when I’m around the kitchen table at my grandma or aunt’s place in Shenyang playing with family,’ Raducanu told Porsche.

While tennis stars spend plenty of time on the court, the 20-year-old also unveiled some of the other things she gets up to when she’s not competing or training. 

When asked what her hobbies were, she said: ‘They include Mahjong, piano, reading, learning new cultures and languages, motorsport, driving and diving.

‘On a day off, I like to practice some piano… I just started to learn and have a long way to go but I really love the melodies once you get it.

‘Also having picked up Mahjong and now enjoy playing with whoever I can find. And I just love driving.’

Raducanu has not played since April where she was knocked out of the first round of the Stuttgart Open
